Americana Friendship Block Request for Jan Westerman

The block size may be 6 ½”, 9 ½’, or 12 ½” square (Unfinished).    Either a Patriotic Star Block OR American  Applique design.  Background fabric should be Off- White or White

Any technique is fine (pieced Star block, a foundation pieced, or applique design,).  If fusible applique is chosen, please be sure to stitch down the edges to make the blocks permanent.

Embellish, if you wish ~~ buttons, rick rack, beads, ribbons, trims, lace, embroidery.

If you have a small amount of extra Americana-themed pieces to share with me I will incorporate it into the quilt.

Choose an idea from a guild library book, Pinterest (Americana décor), or create your own.

I would really like for you to sign your block on the FRONT (not in the seam allowance).

Deadline: by the end of the guild meeting on November 20, 2025. Turn your block in to Lisa Gamble so that she can record your block for a Friendship Block credit, then she will have a photograph of your piece of art put on our Friendship Block page on the guild’s website.
