This is a Memorial Quilt for a friend that recently passed away to his daughter. Every night before bedtime he would take her outside and recite the poem "Star Light, Star Bright" When he died she said he'll always be the brightest star in the sky. I named it "The brightest Star" The center of the quilt is made from the shirts he used to wear. About 10 years ago he and his wife went to India on a vacation and brought me back several yards of Indian silk which I used in the borders. |
