Show & Tell
Judy Mathieson
Last year I made a quilt for my husband from my saved Pendleton clothing. Resident now in our son and wife’s forest service cabin near Tahoe. When I showed it at guild I mentioned that I had some squares leftover and if anyone had similar Pendleton clothing I would be glad to add to my salvage. The next meeting Sandra McConnel (library table) showed up with a big bag of Pendleton wool plaids and solids. 1/4 to 1/2 x 60” yard cuts of new Pendleton fabrics that her mother had purchased at a sale when Village Fabrics moved from Montgomery village to Coddingtown Mall. So many years ago. What a lovely lady!
I constructed this one this year...partly at Zepher Point Retreat last year. The flannel back is from Legacy and Sharon ordered the batting in her purchase for guild members from Keepsake. A really community quilt!!! I hope this crisis doesn’t extend to the Moonlight Quilters show in April where I had hoped to display it. |
