It took a world wide pandemic to get this quilt done! I started it in a Judy Niemeyer class 10 years ago and promptly put it away. When the shelter in place began I thought this would be a good time to restart it. It had been taking up a lot of room in my sewing room. This quilt took more than 9 months to complete! It was brutal. The paper piecing was lengthy and when that was done I thought oh good I’m almost done. But the appliqué took just as long and of course the quilting took forever! Well it’s done. Now I’m giving the pandemic permission to leave us alone and go away! |
