Show & Tell

Glenda Ross was chosen to receive a MERIT award for her continuing work in chairing the Opportunity Quilt Ticket Sales. She has put in time above and beyond the call of duty finding venues to sell tickets to raise funds for our guild, organizing guild members to sell tickets, (wo)manning booths herself many hours, schlepping heavy quilts and equipment for display, coordinating with the makers of the quilts and the ticket printing, and gently making reminders at guild meetings that all members are invited to take on at least $20 worth of tickets each year to purchase themselves or sell to others. It is always a pleasure to work with Glenda as her sense of humor means lots of laughs. Glenda was presented with a gold charm disk engraved with SRQG on one side and a rose (our guild’s emblem) on the other. Not only do the guild members benefit from the money Glenda helps to generate for programs, rent, etc., but also so many who receive community quilts from the purchase of batting and backings funded in part by ticket sales. We thank Glenda for the time she gives to our guild.
