Sally Collins Workshop

The Pieced Baskets workshop presented by Sally Collins Friday was well received! Sally presented so much valuable information that some said this should be Quilting 101; a must for everyone! After completing a 1 7/8” block or the bigger block 3 1/8” many people felt that prior to this class they were “sloppy” quilters. Sally taught how valuable it is to cut and sew accurately and to measure each seam as you sew! It is a new habit to learn but one that allows the quilter to always have perfect points, seams, etc. No longer would the quilter with this new habit say, “hmm, what happened?” Did you know that after pressing it is best to put a ruler with a little weight on the piece until it has cooled? It allows the seams in the piece to become completely flat!

Everyone worked hard and had a great time!
